Light Human Hotels creates original hotels by bringing people, place, design, operations and economic feasibility together.

01 / 05ORIGINAL HOTEL CONCEPTS
THE BRAND RANGEA system for inhabiting

One name.
Three ways
of inhabiting the world.

All are boutique lifestyle hotels. They are not steps in a generic chain. They are three doors into the same conviction: a hotel comes alive when it finds its own way of welcoming.

01

Select

Midscale lifestyle

The open door

Accessible, social and energetic hospitality, with distinctive design and an efficient operating model.

02

Signature

Creative authorship

A house with a voice

Author-led hotels with a distinctive identity — shaped by a renowned designer or by a creative collective rooted in place.

03

Luxury

Luxury lifestyle

The rare becomes intimate

Elevated boutique hospitality with exceptional design, materials, personalisation and service.

The centre remains.
The way of welcoming changes.

A boutique lifestyle hotel platform for owners, investors and guests looking for more than a room.

THE PLATFORM

A hotel brand.
A concept partner.

We create, position and develop original hotel concepts that bring people, place, architecture, interiors, guest experience, operations and economic feasibility into one coherent proposition.

Do you know where you are without looking out the window?

Many hotels are beautiful, comfortable and well designed. But remove the view, the name and the address, and they could be in almost any city in the world. It is a feeling most travellers know: everything works, yet nothing tells you where you are.

The Eiffel Tower test

On a project in Paris, an image showed an attractive hotel bar with the tip of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. When we asked for the tower to be removed, Paris disappeared with it. The interior could have been in any country. That made the issue clear: decoration is not enough. A Light Human Hotel must capture the soul of its city through architecture, interiors, art and programming. We do not copy and paste between Rio, São Paulo, Paris or Miami. If the postcard view disappears, the hotel must still reveal where it is.

From tourist to traveller

This is the shift Julien Veyron described in “From Tourists to Travelers”. A tourist may simply recognise the postcard view. A traveller wants to understand the place, meet its people, share its rhythms and carry away an experience that exists nowhere else. For Light Human Hotels, a hotel should not separate its guests from the city. It should help them enter it.

Light Human Hotels brings hotel concept, development and operations together for owners and investors. Light Human Brands connects international designers and brands with opportunities in Brazil.

HOTEL DEVELOPMENT

One idea.
Different partnerships.

Primarily for owners, investors and developers in Brazil seeking a distinctive, economically grounded hospitality proposition.

01

Light Human Brands

International design and business connections for Brazil, including the representation of Marcel Wanders Design led by Jean Pierre Parra.

02

Concept & positioning

Through design thinking and close collaboration, we turn an asset into a stay people can recognise, remember and return to.

03

Development & operations

We align architecture, interiors and daily operation with the needs of owners, operators, guests and local communities.

THE DEVELOPMENT MODEL

A flexible
brand mix.

Light Human Hotels can stand alone, sit beside a standard hotel brand or bring a new layer to an existing asset.

Light Human Hotels works as a potential partner rather than a competitor, combining distinctive design, practical management, efficient operation and brand relationships selected for each property.

TWO CREATIVE PATHS · EQUAL VALUE

Design is essential in every Light Human Hotel. A celebrated name is one possible route, never the condition for creating an original and valuable property.

01

International signature

A project-specific collaboration with a recognised designer or design brand — such as a Marcel Wanders-led or YOO-style model — can add visibility, creative authority and commercial differentiation.

02

Place-led collective

Architects, interior designers, artists, makers, operators and the local community can build an equally strong authorship: original, coherent and impossible to separate from its place.

The choice follows the property, market and investment strategy. In both paths, design must create experience, operational value and a reason to return.

THREE WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

01

Stand-alone brand

A complete Light Human Hotels identity, experience system and operating proposition.

02

Co-brand & collection

A Light Human concept paired with an established hotel brand when the asset and market benefit from both.

03

Conversion & repositioning

A practical route for existing hotels that need a clearer story, stronger guest experience and operational reset.

Brand relationships are scoped project by project; named historical cases do not imply a universal or current partnership.

WHAT THE MIX CAN UNLOCK

The Brand Mix approach focuses on six practical outcomes for owners and operators.

01

More value from every agreement

Choose complementary brands for fit, guest relevance and commercial contribution — not visibility alone.

02

Smarter investment

Use partnerships and proven expertise to focus capital where it has the greatest effect on the stay.

03

Stronger visibility

Create launch moments, public interest and shared reach with partners that add credibility to the concept.

04

More on-property revenue

Build relevant food, wellness, retail and experience offers that give guests more reasons to spend time in the hotel.

05

Consistent quality

Bring specialist know-how into the operation while protecting a coherent standard across products and services.

06

A place for the neighbourhood

Use programming and local partnerships to make the hotel useful to residents as well as travellers.

GET LIGHT / DEVELOPMENT

Bring Light Human
into your asset.

For owners and investors in Brazil with well-located sites or existing hotels, looking for a design-led hospitality proposition with room to adapt.

The model starts with the place: its climate, building, neighbourhood and market. Architecture, interiors and operations are developed together, with sustainability treated as a question of performance, people and long-term value.

01

Easy operation

Spaces and operating principles designed around the people who run the hotel, supported by useful tools rather than layers of process.

02

Built to flex

Each project is tailored to its climate, building and local needs without losing the Light Human point of view.

ECOTONE / ARCUEIL / GREATER PARIS

A metropolitan
village.

Ecotone was conceived as more than a hotel: a porous, multigenerational place where hospitality, work, food, wellbeing and culture could meet.

Within the wider Ecotone ecosystem, Light Human Hotel was programmed around a public hall, coworking, a community kitchen, wellness, a rooftop bar and a planted Skypark. The brief put people first — guests, teams and local residents — and treated every circulation space as part of the experience.

  • Open to the neighbourhood
  • Nature woven through the experience

THE DESIGN QUESTION

Design is not
decoration.

A hotel is not only a room or a façade. We work across architecture, interiors, art, food and programming to make a clear point of view tangible.

Light Human Hotels grew from architecture and design rather than a conventional hotel formula. We work collaboratively with owners, operators, developers and local voices, with the commercial brief always in the room.

THE PROOF / MAMA SHELTER

What still seems bold in Brazil is already a proven operation elsewhere.

60%

of Mama Shelter revenue came from dining.

Statement by COO Cédric Gobilliard · October 2023

This does not mean every hotel should reproduce the same ratio. It proves that food and shared spaces can move beyond amenities and become economic engines when concept, space, programming and operations are designed together.

PEOPLE FIRST / PLACE / PERFORMANCE

First of all,
welcome.

The hotel that greets a person by first asking for a room number is over. We create lieux de vivre: spaces shaped for guests, teams and neighbours to meet, share, work and enjoy. And it is not enough to declare sustainability or collect labels. Certifications can measure criteria; they cannot replace choices rooted in the climate, the building and the neighbourhood — choices that use resources better, support stronger teams, create healthier stays and build lasting value.

A hotel is not a room machine. It is social and cultural infrastructure connected to place. Food, bars, wellness, events, culture and work are not residual amenities: they are connected operations that can create their own revenue and local demand beyond occupancy, while strengthening the appeal of the rooms.

France and other markets have already proved this inversion. In Brazil, it is still concentrated in a few exceptional properties. Light Human Hotels brings architecture, concept, programming and operations together to make it a repeatable model — adapted to Brazilian climates, cultures, buildings and neighbourhoods.
