An idea of hospitality
A hotel is not only a building or a collection of rooms. It is a place lived in by guests, teams, neighbours and partners. That is why the work begins with listening: who uses the space, what makes the address distinctive, and how the project can contribute positively to local life.
A people-first approach connects design to real routines. Clear circulation, useful common areas, food, wellbeing, work and leisure are assessed as parts of one experience. Technology and sustainability are tools for comfort, efficiency and care—not isolated promises.
Every place calls for its own response
Climate, landscape, culture, building and market guide every concept. Light Human identity does not replace a destination’s character; it creates a coherent way to reveal it. This method can support new developments, conversions or repositioning, with decisions tailored to the asset.
The brand’s public journey includes one operating hotel, E Caselle in Corsica, and historical development references in France, Portugal and the United States. Projects announced in the past are shown with their dates and should not be understood as hotels currently open.
YOO2 and YOO Hotels in Brazil
Jean Pierre Parra brought YOO Design Studio to Brazil and structured its entry into the Brazilian hotel market. The work led to YOO2 Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro, opened in July 2016 as the world’s first YOO2 hotel.
Since 2026, Light Human Hotels has represented the development of YOO2 and YOO Hotels brands in Brazil. The current relationship continues a journey begun with the negotiation, structuring and development of the pioneering Rio de Janeiro project.
